Every phase for the McDonnell Douglas MD-80, as flown in a flight simulator — panel scans marked as flows, read-and-respond cards marked as checklists. Open the interactive version to tick lines off, fill in your speeds and keep your place between sessions.
MD-81 — The original. JT8D-209s, lowest thrust of the family.
MD-82 — The common one and the usual choice of add-on developers. JT8D-217s, higher weights.
MD-83 — Extra fuel in the cargo bay and JT8D-219s — same flows, longer legs, heavier landings to plan for.
MD-87 — Short body, tall fin. Lively performance and a noticeably different sight picture on the flare.
MD-88 — EFIS displays and an FMS in place of the earlier PMS. The panel scan is the same, the readouts are not.

FUELCHECKED vs FLIGHT PLAN
FUEL BALANCEL / R WITHIN LIMITS
Watch the wing tanks — this aeroplane will happily fly out of balance if the centre tank empties unevenly.
